This is my first article that i write in english. Now i want explain what i thought about current issue in Indonesia. The current issue which caught my attention was about the rection of people against the construction of nuclear power plant in Jepara, Central Java. I think fair if the people refused the construction of the nuclear power plant there, especially after the explosion of nuclear reactors in Fukushima, Japan. Even though nuclear power plant have a high-efficiency electricity, but nuclear can be very dangerous. Chernobyl tragedy in 1986 was one of the worst effects of nuclear. Nowadays, Chernobyl still contaminated with radioactive substances from nuclear. In addition I think there are many other alternative energy overthan nuclear for power plant. For example we can use the wind energy, ocean waves or geothermal energy. If we actually do some research and development of alternative energy above, I’m sure in a few years energy needs in Indonesia will be met a hundred percent
